When are FlexKrete Schools and Training Held?

FlexKrete Schools and Training are held the last Wednesday of the month from February thru October. Large and/or private group training can be arranged by calling 972-964-8707.

What aggregates should be mixed with FlexKrete?

A.

Kiln-dried industrial sand (silica) is the most commonly used aggregate when mixing FlexKrete. However, any size or type aggregate may be mixed with FlexKrete, as long as it's clean and contains zero moisture. Color quartz, aluminum oxide, flint, Black Beauty, small gravel, etc. may all be used with FlexKrete, depending on your surface needs.

For troweling, we recommend a 20-50 mesh, or medium grade sand. For matching very smooth surfaces, a finer mesh may be used.

Can FlexKrete be stained or painted?

A.

Yes, it can be stained or painted, normally within an hour of application. Water-based or 100% solids materials should be used.

What are the temperature application restrictions?

A.

Virtually none, as FlexKrete has been used in temperatures from well over
100° F (37.7 C) to -34° F (-36.6C). Great in freezer rooms.

What is the coverage of FlexKrete?

A.

Typically, one 5-gallon pail of FlexKrete yields between 2.7 cf and 4.5 cf (approximately) of repair material, depending on repair length, width, depth and application requirements.

FlexKrete is 100% solids by volume, resulting in a spread rate that meets or exceeds any product.

How much does FlexKrete cost?

Mixed with 3 parts blasting sand, a 5-gallon pail yields approximately 20 gallons of repair material, resulting in a price-per-gallon of less than $20.

Mixed with 3 parts blasting sand and 3 parts clean angular gravel, a 5-gallon pail yields approximately 35 gallons of repair material, resulting in a price per gallon of less than $11.
